New beginnings

Last weekend I had a much needed three and a half hours of indulgent pampering at a day spa (organised for my birthday by my lovely adorable husband - and more about that later). This weekend, I'll be doing the exact opposite: hard labour, organising and helping with the move into our new house.

I've spent the last 2 nights packing all my DVDs and books, and a bunch of kitchen stuff and winter clothes. There actually isn't all that much to pack, but I am exhausted! I'm excited about buying all new furniture and home wares, kitchen appliances.. since getting married and moving out of our bondi beach apartments (and consequently leaving behind all our furniture and sexy appliances etc - since it was needed for furnished holiday apartments), we've been living with crappy McCrap stuff which gives me asthma. It'll be good to have a fresh start :)

We settle on our new property in Turramurra tomorrow afternoon, and moving on Saturday. But we still have to spend the rest of the weekend cleaning out our current apartment before we hand over the keys on Monday.

Next weekend, we're going to the hunter valley with my brother, sister & partners to celebrate my bro's 30th. So excited to get away! Seems a little undeserved, given that I just had an awesome long weekend, followed by a heavenly day spa experience, but I do feel like lately, work has just been absolute hell, and it's nice to get away from all that. Looking forward to dinner at Shakey Tables on Saturday week.

Now, about that day spa.. Its called "Endota Spa" in Turramurra. The women who work there are so lovely. My birthay was a month ago, but hubby organised a day spa voucher for me, and this was the earliest I could use it. The voucher included a therapeutic foot scrub, 1 hour back massage, facial, pedicure and manicure. As well as that, I was served delicious herbal tea on arrival, and I was also given a yoghurt-topped fruit salad with juice and tea, to enjoy while I had my pedicure done. I felt so pampered, it was amazing :) I felt so lucky to have such a beautiful husband too. Naaawe..... I love him so much :)

That's all for now. So tired, and have backache from all the packing.
