One sleep to go!

Not til Christmas (obviously)... one sleep until I go away for a month!!

I am soooo excited! Unfortunately, I have been nursing a very sore throat all week and am not feeling too good. I just hope to see some improvement from the general feeling of death that I am currently experiencing before my flight tomorrow.

I'm a little nervous that there is something I have forgotten - I keep remembering little bits of what I need or have to do before I go.. I must have done about 10 different trips to Westfield (that's our "mall" for the non-aussies on here) to buy various items last minute.. (that reminds me, I need to make sure I have international roaming on my phone!). Speaking of phones, I recently replaced my crappy LG GU285 for a slightly upgraded handset... I loooove the iphone4. I used to think this phone was stupid and loaded with tonnes of useless crap, but actually, it is amazing. I am totally in love with this phone. I have already downloaded a bunch of useful apps for my trip, including tripcase - highly recommended if you are travelling. I could go on all day about my iphone... but I wont.

Today is the last day at work. My office is closing from tomorrow until 16th January, and everyone is in a great mood because of the long break. My lovely adorable and gorgeous secretary (and adopted sister) made everyone brownies and gingerbread cookies today for xmas... needless to say, I am on a brownie & gingerbread diet today. I literally have been eating brownie for lunch. Naughty!!! I also probably shouldnt be eating sweet things when I'm sick... but... its christmas for crying in a bucket! Yummmy.

On a totally random note, I have already made a list of must-watch movies when I get back after my trip, including The Kings Speech (ohmahgawd COLIN FIRTH! love love love), The Heartbreaker, Black Swan (no idea what its about, but it has natalie portman in it, so naturally, I really want to see this!), The Fighter (finally, i movie I can watch with Stan, without having him cringe and complain about how unrealistic and "hollywood" the movie is), and of course, I shall be watching Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows part 1 again, hopefully, it will still be in cinemas in early Feb. Not sure Stan will come with me to this one ;)

In other completely random news, I have signed up for the 2011 Warrior Dash! Oh yeah Baby!!! Hopefully I will not get fat while overseas, and will not get "less" fit either.. I'm usually going to the gym 5 times a week, and I havent done much running for a while, plus, there won't be any running opportunities at the swiss alpes or Japanese ski fields, so I think I'll just need to do a crash-training program when I get back for the 2 weeks leading up to the event. So exciting!! Jumping over FIRE! Wearing cool viking hats! And eating giant turkey legs~ Could you get a cooler event to compete in? I'm going to be doing it as part of a climb fit team, and my sister is going to enter with me. It's going to be hilarious, if not painful and grueling.

Speaking of the cute little thing, she is currently in Paris.... Jealous much? She's going to have a blast in Europe these holidays. So happy for her. But also super happy for myself, as I will shortly be embarking on a magnificent adventure through Israel, then off to Switzerland to snowboard for 12 days in Zermatt, and then 5 days in Japan. Hellz YeaH!

Well... thats all from me for this year (I think)... Have a very merry xmas everyone, and enjoy your holidays!
